Returning Live Links From a SQL Database Field

Tutorial Needed!  Hope I followed the request instructions correctly.

I need a tutorial that will show me how to make a link in a datafield live.  I want to use textfields to display URLs and email addresses which are in a database field as live links instead of plain text, preferably opening in a new page.  I have through half a dozen books and have posted on two forums without locating the infomation.

ASP.net Events Calendar using SQL

I would love it if someone would take the tutorial Joel Martinez did on Using the ASP.NET Calendar Control and expand upon it ecspecially expand upon the Outputting the data int he calander.  He did this tutorial to work with Access but i would love it to be wrote for the very many of us using SQL.
