downloadable .pdf am somewhat new to dreamweaver. looking for an extension which will allow users to download a .pdf from my website. Any information about how to do that would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
Hi yea, The only way I am away of downloading a .pdf is by having it zipped and then link to it, either that or when you link to a pdf file it will open on screen and one will have the option of saving it if the want.
All you have to do is have users right click on the link and think click "save target as" in IE and in Mozilla "save link as" then it will download the pdf to their local machine
This site, DMXzone, has a downloading script, but with PDF's, they open in the browser unless your settings are changed.
I agree with the other two review posts, it's either a "right-click > save as", or Zip' the PDF which might work out for your site, depends on your members/market.
