Since data transfer is the most important, what transfer rates make you want to sign up?

It really depends on the type of website needing hosting. If I was looking for a reseller account, I would work out how many accounts I of the standard hosting accounts (offered by the hosting company) I could sell by purchasing the reseller account. If the margins are realistic then things are good. If not, what's the point.

Contribution towards fixed costs is essential when researching this. You need to have a good margin if you are even considering purchasing hosting for resale. Otherwise, what's the point? I suppose this comes from my accounting background, but everyone should do similar, I say.

Good poll!

FREE is for you and me...

I have found many websites offering unlimited everything for free. I am not sure when this will catch on but TOM over at myspace makes over 2 million dollars a month giving away a free page to customize. I know of 4 companies that are fixing to give away entire websites for free with unlimted databases, e-mails and unlimted web space as well as free database support. There is ZERO money in selling web hosting but there are millions to be made in advertising. The question is no longer whats the best price, the new question is where can I get it all for free.

Thanks,
